I recently dined at Gabe's downtown in Douglasville, GA and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a charming decor that made me feel right at home. The food was the real standout though. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the grits were creamy and flavorful. I also tried the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and they were crispy and delicious. The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly and attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Gabe's downtown to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment. I will definitely be returning soon!

After a 2 year hiatus due to a couple of my favorite dishes being discontinued we decided to spend a nice night out celebrating my birthday and hopes of finding the items back in the thick of the menu. Thankfully they were. The crab seafood bisque in the bread bowl is everything. Perfect start. And then the fried shrimp platter with cheese grits with balsamic was the perfect side. Then the bread pudding was the cherry on top. Keep these items, along with this level of deliciousness and I’ll be back multiple times over!! Thanks

Today we decided to go to Gabe’s in memory of my mom. (Today marks 13 years since she passed) She loved Louisiana food, she would’ve loved Gabe’s! Michael was our server, he was awesome & took wonderful care of us!! Was so excited they had oysters on special! Had fresh & cooked oysters, both were delicious! All of our appetizers were fantastically delicious too! Finally tried the famous shrimp & grits and it was outstanding! My husband had a catfish po boy and he absolutely loved it! My mother in law had a delicious salad. Gabe’s Downtown exceeded our expectations with great customer service, making us feel welcome like family and the food was fantastically fresh & delicious!! We will definitely be back! 10000/10!

Recommended by a coworker. Cajun Cuisine with excellent service. Small, but quaint. The meal and drinks did not disappoint. The pics tell the story. Will definitely return.

So glad we got to try the new location! We were semi regulars at the Douglasville location, which we will miss, but they did a GREAT job with the new spot. Beautiful interior, great location. Hopefully they will be able to utilize some of the extra interior. I tell you the food is even better than we remember, apps, entrees and that bread pudding could start a fight!! My ONLY criticism is that the prices seem a lot higher than we remember. 100 bucks for 2 with no alcohol?? Nothing major, I am sure it's for a good reason, but the price makes it a special occasion spot as opposed to a regualar favorite. Bravo Gabes. See you soon

I’m sad to see this place relocate from Downtown Douglasville.... Gabe’s is one of the first restaurants I sat down to dine in when my family and I moved to Douglasville from NYC in 2019, and now I’m dining here on the last day before closing November 9th, 2024. I must say, service was impeccable then and still is now. They NEVER disappoint. Our server, Jake was awesome. He went above and beyond making sure that my party and I were taken care of. The food was great. For me, the best part of the meal was the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and of course, the dessert, Bread Pudding (my fave). Guess I’ll be taking a trip to Villa Rica soon

Great restaurant! Went with my husband one Friday night. I ordered the Chicken Victoria and he ordered pasta. Food was excellent! One of the best dishes I've had in a long time. We look forward to coming back.
